Emerging Technology and Reimagining the Role of the Textbook
“Technology is not a destiny but a scene of a struggle” (Feenberg, 1991, p. 14). Digital textbooks have certainly caused a disruption in the traditional textbook market. Of course, these disruptive technologies create potential emerging markets and venture opportunities. In this section, we will consider these possibilities as well as a renewed vision of the textbook of the future.
