Martina is a Home Economics teacher in the West Vancouver School District. She employs technology into her curriculum by using Twitter, YouTube Channel and Google Classroom. This year, students created their own food blogs to document what they have been learning and producing in class. She is hoping her students will create their own Tasty Videos and upload them soon on YouTube. I like how digital textbooks are interactive and makes the content come alive!
Sarah is an educator in the Ottawa area who teaches English. Technological inclusion and infusion is an important part of her instructional design, as is the premise that technology is not simply a tool, but rather, a way of thinking. Her English classes are always trying new tools to enhance learning, sometimes to the chagrin--but usually to the delight--of the students. Creating the Open Educational Resource on Digital Textbooks has been illuminating in terms what it can offer as well as what it lacks. The idea of a learning ecosystem, which includes a digital textbook, is fascinating and a concept she plans to further incorporate into her professional practice.
Michael currently teaches Business in a high school just north of Toronto. With over 10+ years at IBM he brings a lot of business experience to his classroom, with a technology focus. He is always encouraging his students to look for opportunities where a need exists. His Finance class doesn't currently have a high school textbook to choose from, so the thought of co-creating a digital textbook with all of his students excites him.

She moved into management early in her career and has had the pleasure of leading some talented teams to create a variety of new and impactful products throughout the years.
Digital books represent the marriage of many of Esther's passions, and she is excited to keep watch over how this new industry and its products continue to evolve.
Baljeet is a high school teacher in Abbotsford BC with a focus on Mathematics and Business Education. Before entering the world of education, Baljeet worked as an accountant for six years. His current focus is cross-curricular teaching across four subject areas with a focus on PBL and inquiry. His grade 9 class is currently on a Bring Your Own Device program so he is given the flexibility to incorporate lots of technology to aid in student learning.
For his business classes especially, the opportunities that digital textbooks provide of constantly updated content and case studies is very exciting.
